Fandom makes you do a lot of things. It made me an entrepreneur! My love for the South Korean group – BTS – began while I was in college. It was the passion to attend their concert and see them performing live which pushed me to take up graphic designing classes while I was still pursuing medicine.

I graduated in Physiotherapy, but my heart was elsewhere. I wanted to do something of my own. So, I gathered up some courage and borrowed ₹30,000/- from my father to start Aurora Hope Pins – a brand that sells BTS merchandise and keepsakes. It started out more like a hobby and then I realised that there are so many of us who want to but may never get the opportunity to see BTS performing live. Aurora Hope Pins is my way of using my designing skills and my passion to create unique merch that would make thousands of BTS fans like me, or ARMY as we call ourselves, happy and one step closer to our heroes.

Building Aurora Hope Pins as a thematic jewelry brand has helped me become a more confident, independent person. I am committed to coming up with unique BTS pieces that make for worthy keepsakes. While my Instagram page helped me reach out to my customers, it was through my Instamojo store that I was able to give wings to my business. I was able to return that initial ₹30,000/- to my father in just 2 months! This means a big deal to me especially because I am the first in our family to start a business and become an entrepreneur.

I hope to continue creating these little magic pieces of BTS merch and make millions of fans happy.
